College Panhellenic Council

Gamma Phi Beta (ΓΦΒ) Gamma Phi Beta (ΓΦΒ) founded in 1874 is an international philanthropic organization that strives to inspire the highest type of womanhood in every one of our members. The Epsilon Omicron chapter at UCSC chartered in 1990 and has since strongly promoted the academic success of all sisters, as well as service to the community. Gamma Phi Beta fosters everlasting bonds, and with over 150 collegiate chapters in total, will provide you with lifelong friendships and the skills necessary to succeed.
Kappa Alpha Theta (ΚΑΘ) Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, Kappa Alpha Theta exists to nurture each member throughout her college and alumnae experience and to offer a lifelong opportunity for social, intellectual, and moral growth as she meets the higher and broader demands of mature life. Kappa Alpha Theta was founded in January 1870 and the Theta Xi chapter at the University of California was chartered in January of 2017. We value our history and the long tradition of leading the way for women’s groups and women in higher education.
Kappa Kappa Gamma (KKΓ) Kappa Kappa Gamma is a philanthropic women's fraternity and a member of the National Panhellenic Council. Kappa strives for community involvement, leadership development, academic excellence, and a strong sisterhood among its members. Kappa has helped collegiate women since its founding in 1870 to get involved on campuses across the US and Canada. As our sisters create friendships that will last a lifetime, Kappa teaches its members how to work together and build interpersonal skills which will aid in college life and beyond.

Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEΠ) Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEΠ) is a social fraternity that seeks to proliferate and espouse the morals of Judaism through brotherhood, social action, and philanthropy. The Sigma Zeta chapter was founded on the UCSC campus in 2004 and has since been growing constantly. As well as being active participants in UCSC’s jewish community, AEΠ regularly hosts both social and philanthropic events.
Alpha Psi (AΨ) Alpha Psi was founded on November 30th, 1988 with the belief that every woman should work to achieve all that is possible during her college experience. Alpha Psi's founding ideals are: academic excellence, social development, intellectual thought, and personal achievement. We encourage all our members to reach beyond perceived limits and accomplish all that she attempts.

Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE)

*Tau Kappa Epsilon is currently under an Interim Suspension pending a conduct review.

Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) is a social fraternity that has been building better men for a better world since 1899. The Upsilon Pi chapter was founded at UC Santa Cruz in 2009. All members strive to display love, charity, and esteem continuously, not only on campus, but throughout the entire Santa Cruz Community. TKE works closely with many other on-campus organizations to put on some of the largest events at UC Santa Cruz, like Holi Festival with the Indian Student Organization. They also hold events each year to benefit their national philanthropy partner, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Alpha Phi Omega (ΑΦΩ)

*Alpha Phi Omega is currently suspended as a result of risk management violations including hazing. The chapter is suspended until 2025 and has criteria to establish on the campus.

Alpha Phi Omega (ΑΦΩ) is a national co-educational service fraternity founded on the three cardinal principles of leadership, friendship and service. The Alpha Gammu Nu chapter was re-chartered in 2009 and has been developing young leaders, building friendships, as well as providing service for the chapter, campus, community, and country.

Cultural Greek-Letter Organizations

alpha Kappa Delta Phi (αKΔΦ) alpha Kappa Delta Phi, Delta Chapter was established on March 11, 1992. The purpose of this sorority is to promote sisterhood, scholarship, service, sisterhood, and Asian- awareness in the university and the community. Our national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Awareness which we publicize every October. In addition, we also focus on promoting Domestic Violence Awareness. All in all, we strive to give each sister a timeless friendship through sisterhood.
Kappa Zeta (KZ) Founded at the University of California, Santa Cruz on October 3, 2003, Kappa Zeta is a local multicultural sorority. We are focused on supporting each other as sisters emotionally, academically and socially by encouraging involvement within the community and to positively represent UC Santa Cruz with our outreach within the Santa Cruz community.
Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. (ΣΛB) Our four principles are: Scholarship, Brotherhood, Cultural Awareness and Community Service. We Believe in the principles of fairness, opportunity, and in the equality of all men no matter what their race, culture, or ethnicity. We pride ourselves in the development within our Brotherhood and use that growth to make a positive impact and change to our communities. We believe that together, we can make our world better.
Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. (ΣΛΓ) Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc. is a Latina-Based, multicultural sorority striving to be a premier organization committed to providing a mechanism of empowerment to all womyn.
Sigma Omicron Pi (ΣOΠ) Sigma Omicron Pi was founded in 1930 at San Francisco State University, and was established at the University of California, Santa Cruz on January 14, 1995 as Zeta Chapter. Our main objectives are Unity, Friendship, Leadership, and Service. Unity, equality for all. Friendship, creating limitless relations beyond our sisterhood. Leadership, to help each individual envision her fullest potential. Service, to maintain a commitment to our community. We are the oldest national, Asian-American interest sorority with chapters reaching all the way to the east coast.
Sigma Phi Zeta (ΣΦZ) The gentleman's fraternity Sigma Phi Zeta was founded on May 22, 2003 in the Charles E. Merrill Lounge at UCSC. We stand by 4 pillars: Academic Excellence, Brotherhood, Multiculturalism and Community Service. We proudly give our best to the community of Santa Cruz in our white, silver and royal blue. We truly seek to exemplify brotherhood, family and everlasting friendship within our ranks. As always, Zeta Brothers, there are no others.
Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority, Inc. (ΣΠA) Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority, Inc. is a Chicana/Latina-based sorority that strives to empower women from all cultures through sisterhood, community service, and campus involvement while emphasizing the strengths we hold as women and our academic achievement. As sisters of Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority, Inc., we are also known as ELLAs, which means she/her in the Spanish language. We hold our motto of "Mujeres con Cultura, Fuerza, y Hermandad" very dear and true to our heart as it highlights our sisterhood that provides a safe space, a home away from home, and an academic, professional, and personal support group during and after college.

Alpha Kappa Psi (ΑΚΨ) Alpha Kappa Psi is a co-ed professional business fraternity open to all majors that strives to create the future business leaders of tomorrow.
Delta Sigma Pi (ΔΣΠ) Delta Sigma Pi is the nation's premier co-ed professional business fraternity. Founded on campus in May of 2010 by a group of motivated, driven, and like-minded students, we have built a strong network with our alumni brothers and current, active brothers from across the country. The three pillars we focus on are professionalism, community service, and brotherhood.
Kappa Gamma Delta (KΓΔ) Kappa Gamma Delta (ΚΓΔ) is a professional, academic, Pre-Health sorority. UCSC's Zeta chapter was founded in 2006 and has been helping students achieve their professional and academic goals to become future health professionals. Whether that be Medical School, Dental School, Graduate School, etc., Kappa Gamma Delta strives to be a supportive and challenging space that fosters emotional and social growth among members and fosters diversity on many levels
Phi Alpha Delta (ΦAΔ) Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) is an international co-ed, pre-law fraternity that offers students of all majors and years the opportunity to attend law panels, tour law schools, network with other organizations, and be in an environment with other academically driven students. PAD’s mission is to promote the core values of integrity, innovation, professionalism, and diversity. We are an organization dedicated to instilling values of respect and hard work as well as encouraging members to pursue their passion for the law.

Sigma Mu Delta (ΣΜΔ)

The mission of Sigma Mu Delta is to unify premedical students in a brotherhood dedicated to academic excellence. Sigma Mu Delta's foundation is based on the principles of Brotherhood, Education, and Dedication. The fraternity provides a motivational and inspirational atmosphere to promote maturity.

Delta Omega Chi (ΔΩΧ) Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2003 as a result of risk management violations including the removal of a koi fish from the pond and its death.
Lambda Phi Epsilon (ΛΦE) Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2018 as a result of risk management violations.
Pi Alpha Phi (ΠAΦ) Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2021 as a result of risk management violations including hazing.
Psi Chi Omega (ΨΧΩ) Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2005 as a result of risk management violations including hazing.
Sigma Pi (ΣΠ) Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2022 as a result of risk management violations and failure to comply with university sanctions.
Theta Chi (ΘΧ) Dismissed by UC Santa Cruz in 2019 as a result of risk management violations and failure to comply with University Sanctions including hazing.
